TRAINING & BBC VISION
After college Anthony worked as a design assistant at Pebble Mill in Birmingham on several well known shows. He also worked at Pinewood Studios as an assistant on ‘Jack And The Beanstalk’ the first of the popular ITV pantomimes recorded at the Old Vic in London.
Anthony was also one of the first ever
BBC Vision trainees.
Anthony’s work first featured on BBC’s ‘Blue Peter’ in 1994, which coincided with a huge exhibition of his work at ‘The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum in Coventry’. Part of the exhibition was constructed in the studio with creatures featured and talked about by the presenters.
Later, While studying at ‘The Central School Of Speech & Drama’, Anthony worked as a design assistant on the show several times during the mid 1990’s, creating featured props, costumes and scenery, including a whole range of Viking models and costumes which Anthony still uses.
During the summer of 2008 many of Anthony’s alien creatures were seen wandering around the beautiful countryside of Norfolk. They featured in ITV’s Sunday night drama ‘Kingdom’ starring Stephen Fry, in an episode that also featured Sandi Toksvig and ‘Midsummer Murder’s’ Neil Dudgeon, during the summer of 2009.
